A couple of Saturday's ago, an awesome group of Connecticut bloggers including myself, got together to celebrate the launch of Style Collective founder Annie Spano's, Becoming Fearless PodCast. It was such an excellent event with great company over super delicious food specially catered by Bartaco in West Hartford, CT. If you guys are not part of Style Collective, I highly suggest you join. It is a platform specially designed for female bloggers to connect, grow, and learn how to be successful. It is only $10/month and the tools available there are incomparable. The platform really gets into the nitty gritty of blogging especially the technical aspects and helps bring to the forefront somethings that an individual may not consider.
ABOUT BARTACO
Bartaco is one of my favorite restuarants in Connecticut by far. As ya'll may or may not know, Mexican food (and culture) is one of my favorite types of food in the world. When I was in undergrad, I was spoiled with having a bff who was from Oaxaca, MX. She got me into loving Mexican food but because it was so authentic, I became a snob. Bartaco offers a wide array of Mexican inspired food that is seemingly wildly authentic. Chef Luke really brings to life authentic flavors and spices of Mexico but with a modern and eclectic, International twist. Every so often, the restaurant introduces a "Bartaco Secret" taco. At this time, the #bartacosecret is a soft shell crab, mounted on a tangy tomatillo salsa, topped with a creamy cilantro sauce. I don't eat much seafood but I took a large bite of this taco & it was delectable. I also tried the cauliflower taco for the first time and LOVED it. Cauliflower is so versatile & blanched then lightly grilled is the best way to enjoy this vegetable. I also tried the Seasonal Caipirinha Cocktail and BABY, it was delicious! BarTaco treated the ladies and I to amazing food: fresh gauc (incredible), veg gazpacho (which was good but I'm a hot soup type of gal), lettuce tacos (I like those tortillas baby), cocktails (seasonal caipirinha and Oaxaca Spritz), #bartacosecret taco, and churros for dessert. By the end, I was completely finished! Special thanks to you guys for hosting us and also just going above and beyond! (My location: West Hartford, CT).
That is all folks! I have linked all the above bloggers in the first group picture. All these ladies above are phenomal women and more so, incredible, driven, and business minded women. Be sure to check them out! Until next time, big bisous!
